Because this servo has a larger hydraulic apply area it gives more holding ability to the band. The size of
the servo plays a large role in shift timing. The larger aftermarket racing billet servos depend a lot on the servo
spring to release the band when shifting to 3rd gear. These racing servos are recommended for "racing applications
only" by the manufacturer. Racing applications operate at wide open throttle and shift timing needs to be
quick with no lag for faster track times. Racing recommended servos and "Shift Iits" will shorten service life
of a street driven transmission. Racing modifications cause "shift overlap" at lower RPM ranges and should not be used
in a daily driver.
This is an excellent street performance 2nd servo. It will increase band performance while maintaining shift
timing. Proper shift timing is very important to increase transmission service life. Included are seals and
rings for installation.
